Parent & Me (Boys & Girls Age 2)

Description

Our Parent and Me classes are 45 minutes long. This class is for our youngest age group.  Children in this class are generally under 2 years old, and are accompanied by the parent who participates in the class along with the child.  The child performs the skills while the parent guides the child through the skills along with the help of an instructor.

The children learn vital coordination, flexibility, balancing and limited strength skills. Gymnastics helps children at this young age develop an awareness of their body and how to control it, this is extremely important to child development.

What to Expect

We begin with a warm-up to music. Throughout class the children will learn skills on all the events.  All the equipment is set up for the children’s size and skill level. The class ends with fun games or dances to help improve coordination.

Baker's Tots (Boys & Girls Ages 3-4)

Description

Baker’s Tots is a program that is designed for boys and girls ages 3-4 years old, and is great if your child loves to be active. The class is 45 minutes long.

During the class, we teach gymnastics, but even more importantly we teach basic movement and coordination skills. These skills will help your child as they are at a very important time in their life, when they are learning so many other things as well. They will help your child develop coordination, flexibility and strength.

What to Expect

We begin with a warm-up to music. Throughout the class the children will learn skills on all the events.  All the equipment is set up for the preschooler’s size and skill level.

We also set up different obstacle courses each week for the children to use.  The class ends with fun coordination games such as hula hoops, scooters, balls or a parachute game.

Description

Gymnastics Classes are held six days a week for all age groups and skill levels, boys & girls. These classes are for children ages 5 and over, and are offered in 1 hour or 1-1/2 hour classes, and you may sign up for once or twice a week.

The skill levels offered are Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. To determine your child’s skill level use the guide to the right. For more help stop by our gym and we’ll figure it out!

What to Expect

We begin each class as a group stretching for 10 minutes, then we break off into our groups and generally practice on three different events. For example, one week we may do Bars, Vault and Tumble Track, and the following week we may do Beam, Floor, and Bars. Your child will learn on all events in the gym during their session.

Competitive Team (Girls Ages 5+)

 

Description

Our Competitive Team includes Compulsory Levels, XL Programs (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond), and a High-School program, and is by invitation only.  We attend meets locally, generally from October to May. We will approach you if we think team is right for your child.

Cheer Tumbling (Boys & Girls Ages 9+)

Description

Our Cheer Classes are an hour long each. This class is meant to help girls and boys who are on a cheering team now, or wish to be, but need help specifically on their tumbling and jumps. We concentrate on skills such as cartwheels, round-offs, handsprings, tucks and layouts and teach drills as well as conditioning.

Class may contain many skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Many times we help children who don’t feel they are ready to try out for a team. Other times we help those who are on a team, but feel they need extra work on their tumbling.  Through our program they gain confidence and tumbling skills.

What to Expect

We begin each class as a group stretching for 10 minutes, followed by warm-up drills to improve tumbling and jumping skills. Then we divide the time evenly between tumble track and our 40′ x 40′ spring floor.

What Level Am I?

I'm a Beginner if. . .

I have no gymnastics experience (yet) and want to find out what this ‘gymnastics’ thing is all about!

I'm Intermediate if. . .

I knows the basic moves such as cartwheels, round-offs, bridges and back-handsprings, perhaps with a spot (and dad’s sick of trying to spot them).

I'm Advanced if. . .

I have mastered the fundamentals and have a back-handspring without a spot (basically every time you look at me I’m upside-down).
